FINALISTS ANNOUNCED FOR CREATIVE SHOOTOUT 2020 LIVE FINAL

– YEAR FIVE WILL SEE THE WINNING AGENCY HOUSE CRISIS AS A CLIENT, SUPPORTED BY A £10,000 PRIZE –

Eight agencies have made it through to the Live Final of The Creative Shootout 2020.  Now in its fifth year, the UK’s leading real time and live awards for the marketing industry will be held at Picturehouse Central on Thursday 23rd January 2020.

The eight finalist marketing agencies, from all disciplines, were chosen by a high-profile judging panel, following a 60 second content entry stage.  The top eight (teams of four) will now take to the main stage at Picturehouse Central in January to show off their creative clout for a cause that needs bold solutions – homelessness.  They’ll have had just four hours creative prep on a brief they received earlier in the day from Crisis, and then have only 10 minutes each to convince the audience and Judges of their ideas.

The eight finalist agencies are (in alphabetical order):

Alpaca Communications PR agency
Epoch Design Design consultancy
Fever PR, social and influencer agency
FleishmanHillard Fishburn Communications agency
Grayling Integrated communications agency
Haygarth Brand engagement agency
TracyLocke Advertising agency
Wavemaker Media agency

As in previous years, entering agencies had to submit a piece of content that showed – in just 60 seconds – why they have the creative clout for Creative Shootout Charity of the Year, Crisis.  The entry format was open and not restricted to a specific type of content.

At the Live Final, having drawn straws to determine the running order, each agency team pitches their thinking on the real brief from Crisis in just ten minutes, to a live audience of around 350 and the Judges.  The winner is crowned live on stage in the evening and the winning agency will get to work with Crisis to see their idea come to life, aided by a £10,000 prize fund – as Wire has done this Autumn with A Plastic Planet (year four, Charity of the Year).  The Shootout will be hosted by presenter and broadcaster Scott Wimsett.

Creative Shootout Founder Johnny Pitt said: “With entries ranging from ads to vinyl records, to films and bespoke board games, the entry creativity was jaw-dropping this year. The Shootout exists to showcase the extraordinary talent and thinking in our industry, whilst giving back – and year five looks set to be a blockbuster of a live final.”

Matt Downie, Director of Policy & External Affairs at Crisis added: “Ending homelessness will require brave people and brave thinking.  The Creative Shootout is about just that, and everyone at Crisis is looking forward to seeing what happens in January.”

The Creative Shootout is supported by the major marketing associations including The IPA, CIPR, CMA and IAB UK, along with some high-profile sponsors and partners.
